Pawotence vs AMZGIRL: The Best Eyelash Extensions Self Application Kit for Beginners

After a lot of trial and error with DIY lash kits, which left me more angry than anything, I decided to try Pawotence. Most cheap brands have glue and when you take them off, they completely fall apart. Pawotence holds its shape and makes multiple uses possible. I understand the TikTok trends now.

Pawotence is definitely worth its price, but I love a good deal and wanted to see if I could get the same look for less, so I bought the AMZGIRL lash extension kit to see which one applied faster and stuck better. I have to say, one of them had a better learning curve than the other.

The first time I tried to do my own lash extensions, I spent 45 minutes on just one eye. Don't believe the awkward "perfect for TikTok" 10-minute YouTube tutorials, you actually need to practice.

By the third time, I was able to do both eyes in 15 minutes. Pawotence has a huge range of cluster lengths from 9 to 16 mm, and has way more options than the AMZGIRL kit, but the AMZGIRL kit is a great budget find.

From just my first time doing lash extensions, I can almost guarantee that anyone can do them. The first time takes the longest, but you get quicker every time.

The Glue Test

Pawotence's biggest flaw is the glue they use. By day three, the outer corners started falling off.

Changing their glue to a high-quality dedicated lash bond, I found that the same lashes lasted a full week with their bond not moving. The lash fibers are lightweight and soft. With that, I think their kit is worth it to use your own glue.

On the contrary, AMZGIRL's glue is great right out of the kit. After a few days, I used a sealant as a precaution, but the hold of the glue was great and better than Pawotence.

A quick tip for the lash clusters would be to place the bond on your lash, rather than the clusters, and then map the clusters on to your lash from outer to inner. This has greatly increased the hold for both brands and cut my application time in half.

Which One Should You Buy?

If you are on a budget or doing this for your first time, AMZGIRL would be the better option. Going for under $16 for a set of 320 pieces with great glue is a steal.

If you already have a lash bond glue that you love, go straight for Pawotence, as their kit has softer looking lashes and the premium fibers survive being washed for multiple uses.
